Jill Zarin’s daughter Ellie Shapiro and Jordan Blofeld have called off their engagement just two months after the Weiner Media director proposed, Page Six has learned.
Sources say things were already “troubled” between the couple when they threw an engagement party in the Hamptons in late September.
We’re told they hope to mend relations and in the meantime form a united front. But last week he “decided” to call it quits, according to insiders.
Friends were shocked to hear the news.
Shapiro did not respond to our requests for comment, but Zarin told us: “After much consideration, [they have] made the difficult decision to end their engagement, and as a family, we are focused on supporting her during this time. We appreciate your understanding and request confidentiality on this personal matter.”
They started dating in January 2022.
Since they’ve gone their separate ways, Shapiro — who appeared with her mother on Bravo’s “Real Housewives of New York City” — seems to be dropping hints online, posting videos like which shows her walking into a studio apartment and lip-syncing. Emotional song.
In a TikTok video, Shapiro, 31, stares into the camera while not wearing her engagement ring and says the words “It’s so true” to Gracie Abrams.
“Made it back, but I think I lost it / Said I’m fine, said to the coffin / Remember how I died when you started walking? This is my life, this is my life is,” the lyrics read in part. “I’ll take my earrings out and fight / Don’t you know the vibe? Don’t you know the feeling? You should spend the night, hold me on my roof / That’s your reward, that’s your reward, right?
She then shared two more videos of Zarin and her boyfriend Gary Brody, helping her move into a smaller apartment amid rumors of a split.
Zarin, 60, and Brody were busy unpacking boxes, organizing their drawers and decorating their new space. He ends the video by kissing Zarin on the forehead and Shapiro on the face.
“When you don’t realize how much you need your parents until they give up everything for you,” Shapiro wrote on the TikTok video.
Shapiro also deleted Instagram posts celebrating her engagement party.
The split seems to have happened recently as Shapiro has been sharing sweet videos with her fiance in several TikToks since earlier this month — and rejoicing over their engagement.
The co-founders of Jill and Eli have posted TikToks of them holding hands, enjoying date nights together and celebrating the Jewish holiday with their parents during the month of October.
Belfield popped the question in August while on tour with Zarin and Brody in Spain.
Shapiro announced the news by posting several Instagram stories with her fiancee and showing off her circular engagement ring.
The “Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip” alum also eagerly shared the news by posting a video of the engagement as she watched from afar.
“After lunch Jordan takes Ellie for a walk on the beach.. remember you after 30 minutes of water,” Zarin captioned the video at the time. “We hear cheers and clapping and I start clapping and walk over the railing and guess who just got engaged??? Surprise!!!!”
Zarin lamented that she “couldn’t be happier to welcome” Bluffd into her family.
Shapiro and Blufed went Instagram official in May 2022, but it’s unclear when they started dating.
