According to the former president, Google CEO Sundar Pichai has spoken with Trump on several occasions recently.
“I actually got a call from Sunder, Sunder, who’s great, from Google, he’s a great guy, very smart. The head of Google, “Trump. said During a weekend rally. “And he said, ‘Sir, I just want to tell you, what do you do? What about McDonald’s? It was one of the biggest events we’ve done at Google.”
Trump has recounted the story on at least two other occasions, once at a Las Vegas rally and once speaking to podcaster Joe Rogan. During an October 15 interview in Chicago, Trump said he called Pichai because he was frustrated with the lack of positive stories about him.
“I’ve been getting a lot of good stories lately, but you’re not finding them on Google,” Trump said he told Pichai. “I think this is a complete rigged deal. I think Google is rigged just like our government is rigged.
Trump has long gone after Google and other tech companies, routinely accusing them of bias and controlling what results are shown to the public. In 2019, they claimed Pichai was “working very hard to communicate how much he likes me” and the Trump administration.
Pichai, like many other executives, publicly wished Trump well even after he was nearly assassinated in July.
“I wish President Trump a speedy recovery. I am appalled by today’s shooting and loss of life. Political violence is intolerable and we must all come together to strongly oppose it,” he wrote on social media. Wrote on the media.
