After Page Six reported that former Gov. Andrew Cuomo is a New York City resident, the former cop was spotted voting in Manhattan on Thursday.
Many previously thought Cuomo was not registered to vote in the Big Apple.
When he left the governor’s mansion in 2021, The Post reported that he dumped his belongings at his sister’s place in Westchester, about 14 miles south of where he once lived with ex Sandra Lee.
There was further speculation about where Cuomo would live after reports emerged that sis Maria and her fashion designer husband Kenneth Cole put their suburban home on the market for $22 million over the summer.
On Halloween, Cuomo, 66, “was at an early voting location in Midtown East around 10 a.m.,” detectives said, not exactly keeping a low profile. “He did his civic duty and created quite a stir inside as voters approached him for selfies,” added the source.
A photo obtained by Page Six shows Cuomo in a navy suit and white shirt shaking the hand of a citizen outside a pool. “Thanking them for their service,” our detective said, he did the same thing “with members of the NYPD in front of him.”
Some voters at the polls were asking him to run again, amid buzz that Cuomo might enter the mayoral race amid all the legal drama with Mayor Eric Adams and City Hall.
A new poll shows Cuomo as the frontrunner in next year’s mock primaries.
While the law is complicated, mayoral candidates generally have to live within city limits. “I have an apartment in New York City. I live in Westchester and I go back and forth,” Cuomo previously told Rosanna Scotto, but did not elaborate on his residence.
Cuomo was back in town from Washington, D.C., where he delivered the keynote address at the National Italian American Foundation Gala, which was also attended by Kellyanne Conway.
He resigned from the post three years ago amid multiple allegations of harassment, which he vehemently denied.
